Hugo's Shelter

Room 11 had a very busy term designing and constructing a shelter for Hugo our much-loved class dragon.  

A letter arrived for Room 11 from Hugo telling us how much he had enjoyed staying at all our houses.  He now wanted to try living in space but he needed a place to live. What a challenge we had!!!

After lots of discussion and finding out lots of information about living in space, we went into groups and created a plan.  Then we had to create Hugo's 'Space Station' using lots of different ideas.  

We have learnt a lot about designing and building shelters.  Here are more shelters we have created.

What fun we have had and if you are wondering where the space stations have gone...just wait until later in the term when you will get a glimpse of them again.

Celebrating our high achiever!

Tama is now a National Champion at Highland Dance!
He went to the North Island in the holidays and came back as the 6 and Under National Champion.

Go Tama - we are all so proud of you!

Maybe we can borrow some of your moves for our upcoming Dance unit.

We have had our first two birthdays in the holidays.

Here are the birthday people  wearing our korowai - it is taonga or a treasure and we feel very special getting to wear it for the day !

Another 7 Year old ... birthdays are coming quick and fast now.

I am... stories. We have written some amazing stories about ourselves. They are also up in our room with our illustrations. You may learn something about us that you didn't know! Thanks to Ange and Aimee for all the typing!
