Our Assembly.
We have been practicing for our assembly all week.
We sorted out who would say what, what songs we would sing and what our item would be.
We found out what the other classes wanted to share and found a class who would win the best class this week - because they had by far the neatest cloakroom.
Together with Mrs Hooper we made a dramatic representation of what we have learned about the solar system. We found out facts about each planet and showed our syndicate the way they move around the sun.Well done Marlee and Taylor because you guys had PERFECT self management skills throughout our entire assembly - you guys get a prize each for your fantastic effort!
We have just started measurement in Maths we are loving what we are learning!
Here is the Polar Bear Length Song - it started us doing lots of thinking...
After we watched this clip we decided we needed to see how long 15 Man hand spans was... so we drew around Mr Dury's hand span and did 15 photocopies. We tried to draw our polar bear outside - but the wind was not helping as it kept blowing our hands away. So we tried inside where the wind couldn't muck with our learning.
A full gown polar bear is much bigger than we thought.
Our whole class can fit inside one polar bear. We might have to do some more learning about them next week!

Our Buddy's helping us with our learning
We have each got a buddy. Our buddies helped us fill in a questionnaire that tells our teachers lots about us - they will be able to use this information better meet our learning needs every day!
